Greyhounds is creating a second U16 Girls team for the upcoming 2019 season but need a few more players. We would love to have groups of friends sign-up and play together!
Girls who are interested, but not sure, are invited to come to training and check things out before deciding.

No playing experience needed, just a willingness to learn and laugh while doing so.
In line with the recommendations of the FFA, WACFA endorses a
non-competitive environment as the best way to introduce young players
to the game of football. In our U6, U8 and U10 competitions no
competition table is kept and the formats follow the “Miniroos” formats
as seen in the following links and as detailed in the WACFA By-laws.
“Miniroos” is the name the FFA has given to a modified form of
football designed to meet the needs of young players who have very
different developmental characteristics to adult players. The philosophy
of “Miniroos” focuses on participation, fun and enjoyment of the game
and its reduced player numbers maximises the individual’s contact with
the ball while retaining the competitive element essential for player
development.
The following links provide the general rules and playing formats for
“Miniroos” and should be read in conjunction with the WACFA By-laws.
The WACFA Competition By-laws take precedence where differences exist.
In keeping with the IFAB rules addressing uniform, visible coloured compression shorts and shirts should be worn in line with the clubs playing strip.
Coaches, players and parents should understand it is ultimately the decision of the referee on game day to determine what they will allow onto the pitch!
We offer the following guidelines:
Contrasting colours (including black) should not be visible.
Visible compression shorts should be green.
Visible compression shirts should be yellow or green to match the colour of the playing shirt.
Onside Sports have suitable options but there are others.
The colour and visibility guidelines apply to anything worn under the playing strip!
Player VIP discount.
Onside Sports stock green/yellow ‘Select’ compression shorts and shirts!
All players registered with WACFA get 10% Discount on all RRP prices (in store only).
The Greyhounds Committee are very pleased to announce the part time appointments of Llewellyn and Lachlan as Admin Assistants for the 2019 season. We are excited to see our juniors transitioning into adults in our Club, who want to take some ownership for the future direction and growth of everything Greyhounds. Those who attended Rego Day would have seen both our Admin Assistants in action!
Moving forward, Llewellyn will work closely with Jill on day to day administration tasks, especially during this busy time at the front end of a new season. Lachlan may be in this space as well, but has also agreed to review and revise some of the underlying policy of our Club. A look at our constitution and re-registration with ASIC are on the agenda this year.
Please join us (the Committee) in welcoming Llewellyn and Lachlan into this new role within our Club.
If you would like to become more involved with Greyhounds please email either me (president@greyhoundscsc.com.au) or Jill (registrar@greyhoundscsc.com.au) to express your interest and begin a discussion. There are some bigger roles like V/President and Treasurer, but also lots of other places where you could make a contribution.
Following the terrific service of Peter Deeks as Club Treasurer we are now looking for an enthusiastic and suitably skilled person to take on this role.
Peter has agreed to help in the transition and the Committee will support, but we ideally need someone to come on board now as we move into a new season.
If you think this might be you, or even if you just want to find out a little more about what is involved, please contact:
